Cooperation
The
Partnership works closely with the City (Urban Design Committee,
Municipal Heritage, Planning
and Building Department, City Council, Transportation Department,
Civic Buildings & Grounds, Electrical Department, etc.)
for extensive Downtown improvements.
The
Downtown maintains a strong working relationship with The
City of Saskatoon Council and Administration, the Chamber
of Commerce, Saskatoon
Regional Economic Development Authority, North Saskatoon
Business Association, other Saskatoon BID's, Provincial BID's,
Tourism
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Tourism, Downtown Merchant's Association,
and Heritage Canada as well as the local festival and arts
community.
The Partnership has a Facade Improvement Program where funding is available to owners of Downtown buildings for the purposes of facade renovation. The funding is in the form of a zero interest loan up to $25,000 or 60% of the improvement cost, which ever is less; this program can be used in conjunction with City of Saskatoon grants or funding.
